The project group in your Begleitstudium

The project group in your Begleitstudium

Be a part of the project group in your Begleitstudium! We produce new podcasts, organize events and advance the intercultural exchange with students from all over the world. You get a certificate for your cooperation and many students get credits for their major studies.

1. What is the Begleitstudium?

Minor studies are an opportunity to get involved in a variety of study projects and gather work experience. Teamwork, the ability to work independently and analytical thinking are just some of the skills imparted to you by the Begleitstudium. This is an offer of the University of Augsburg, but students of the technical college are free to join in. Who doesn’t want a practical part in the otherwise theoretical studies? You can find more information about the Begleitstudium here.

2. Who can participate?

The Begleitstudium is an offer of the University of Augsburg. The participation is possible for anyone who studies in Augsburg, including students of the technical college. In order to join, you have to register and stay with us for three terms to get the Begleitstudium – certificate. You are an Erasmus student and only for one or two terms in Augsburg? No problem: international students can earn the certificate after one term. If you want to join student.stories while taking part in the Begleitstudium, you have to enter the event “Begleitstudium: student.stories” for the current semester in the Digicampus. You can also find all the dates of the ongoing project meetings. You don’t have access to the Digicampus? No problem – just write us here, that you want to join the Project.

3. What will you be doing?

We create brief, informative radio plays about life and learning in Augsburg - exactly the podcasts that you can also listen to on our website. German and international students work together in small groups. As you can see, it is an international working environment which encourages integration and intercultural exchanges on the way. You don’t need any expertise: we will teach you all the necessary skills in workshops. You get the equipment from us also and of course we are also constantly prepared to help you with your questions and problems. You are an international student and do not want to participate the production in German, but in your native language? That’s even better! Because with your help we can provide the podcasts in many languages. How to do that. You don’t have to produce podcasts in the Begleitstudium by the way: It is also possible to take over responisbilities in public relations like organizing project events. You can also help us to improve our range of podcasts with interviews and analyses. There’s a variety of possibilities – you just have to choose the best for you!

4. What’s in for you?

If you participate in student.stories while doing your Begleitstudium, you will get an offical certificate in the end, which attests that you worked voluntarily in an interculturel mediaproject. In some study courses you can even get ETCS credits, which you can take into account for your main studies. You can find out if your study course is one of them on the website of the Begleitstudium. But the certificate isn’t the only reason you should join in: Working on a project will earn you priceless skills for your future private and worklife. Through the interculturel exchange with students from other nations you can get an insight in the way of life and customs of other cultures. You also can improve your language skills by translating a podcast or talk with other international students. Furthermore, the skills of media production, you gather while working with us, can expand your studies on a whole new level. And don’t forget the fun you can have while producing a podcast. Just come by and join us – you won’t regret it!
